Cryotherapy is not suitable for everyone. Please let us know at your consultation if any of the following apply to you pregnancy or breastfeeding, a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, Raynaud’s disease or cold urticaria, diabetes or any condition affecting circulation or sensation, blood thinners or immunosuppressant medication, an active skin infection or open wound in the area to be treated, a history of keloid scarring, or recent laser, IPL or chemical peel treatment in the same area within the last two weeks.

Aftercare is straightforward and most people get on with their day as normal straight after treatment. You may notice some redness, swelling or a blister forming over the treated area in the hours and days that follow this is a completely normal part of the healing process. Blistering can last up to five days and full healing typically takes between two and six weeks depending on the size and location of the blemish. Avoid touching or picking the area, keep it free from makeup and perfumed products for 48 hours, avoid heat treatments including saunas, sunbeds and hot baths for 48 to 72 hours, and apply a broad spectrum SPF daily to any exposed areas until fully healed.
