AlumierMD Chemical Peels

Gentle. Effective. Long-lasting skin renewal.

gut testing

AlumierMD peels are the next generation of clinical exfoliation, using medical grade, scientifically formulated ingredients to reveal brighter, smoother, more even looking skin. Each peel is tailored to your individual skin profile, whether your focus is ageing, pigmentation, acne, texture, or overall skin vitality, and treatments are light to medium depth, designed to deliver real results while keeping irritation and downtime to a minimum.

At Luminate Barn, each AlumierMD peel session is £110 and includes your own aftercare kit to take home, so your skin has everything it needs to heal beautifully in the days that follow.

Preparation

To get the best from your treatment, we recommend avoiding retinol, retinoids, and other exfoliating acids for around a week before your appointment, as these can increase sensitivity. It’s also important to avoid sun exposure and tanning beds in the days beforehand, and to arrive with skin free from sunburn or irritation. If you have a history of cold sores, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have used Accutane within the past year, please let us know at your consultation so we can advise on the safest approach for you.

What to expect during treatment

Your skin will be cleansed and prepped before the peel solution is applied in layers. You may notice some warmth or gentle tingling as it works, but the process is generally very comfortable, and the whole treatment typically takes under an hour.

Caring for your skin afterwards

In the days following your peel, your skin may feel tighter than usual and you might notice some mild flaking or peeling as the renewal process takes place, though not everyone will see visible peeling to get the benefits. Using your aftercare kit as directed will help keep the skin hydrated and comfortable throughout. Avoid picking or rubbing at any flaking skin, as this can lead to irritation. Sun protection is essential during this time, so a broad spectrum SPF should be worn daily, and we’d recommend holding off on saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, swimming, and vigorous exercise for a couple of days after treatment. It’s also best to avoid waxing, threading, or other exfoliating treatments for around one to two weeks afterwards, allowing your skin the time it needs to fully renew.

For best results, a course of peels is often recommended over single treatments, allowing your skin to build on its progress with each session.
