Full-Body Red Light Therapy at Luminate

We’re excited to be introducing our brand-new Red Light Therapy Bed a powerful, non-invasive treatment designed to recharge your body at a cellular level. Whether you’re looking to boost your energy, support skin health, ease pain or simply feel better from the inside out, red light therapy offers a wide range of scientifically backed benefits.

Red Light Therapy

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy uses a specific wavelength of red and near-infrared light to penetrate deep into the body’s tissues. It stimulates the mitochondria within your cells, helping them produce more energy (ATP), which is essential for healing, regeneration and overall vitality.

How is it different from the Infrared Sauna?

At Luminate, we also offer the Amplify Infrared Sauna, which works differently but complements red light therapy beautifully.

• Red Light Therapy targets cellular energy production and regeneration. There is no heat, making it ideal for skin health, mood, immune support and inflammation.

• The Amplify Infrared Sauna uses heat and infrared wavelengths to deeply warm the body, stimulating detoxification, sweating, calorie burn, and circulation. It’s best for those looking for a deep cleanse, stress relief, and muscle relaxation.

Both are excellent on their own, but used together, they form a powerful protocol for whole-body wellness.

Key Benefits:

Cellular energy and healing
Increases ATP production, helping cells repair and regenerate faster. Ideal for fatigue, recovery and general wellbeing.

Anti-inflammatory and pain relief
Naturally reduces inflammation in joints, muscles and tissues. Supports those with arthritis, injuries or chronic pain.

Muscle recovery and performance
Accelerates post-exercise recovery and reduces soreness. Popular among athletes and those with physically demanding lifestyles.

Skin rejuvenation
Stimulates collagen and elastin, improving skin tone, reducing fine lines, scars and supporting conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Mood and sleep support
Helps regulate circadian rhythms and supports mental clarity, calmness and improved sleep quality.

Immune system boost
Strengthens the immune response and speeds recovery from illness, surgery or burnout.

Our bed has four powerful light types, each delivering targeted therapeutic benefits:

🔴 Red Light (630nm, 633nm, 660nm)

Boosts collagen, improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, enhances circulation, and accelerates healing for a healthier, more youthful complexion.

🌑 Near-Infrared Light (810nm, 850nm, 940nm)

Penetrates deeply into muscles and joints to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, increase cellular energy, and speed up recovery at a therapeutic level.

🔵 Blue Light (470nm)

Targets the skin’s surface to kill acne-causing bacteria, reduce breakouts, calm redness, and support clearer, healthier skin.

🟢 Green Light (520nm)

Balances skin tone by reducing pigmentation, dark spots, and discoloration while soothing irritation for a brighter, more even complexion.

It also has growing interest for mood calming and migraine relief, which has boosted its visibility in the wellness space.

TREATMENT TIMINGS (MINUTES)

Week 1 – Intro phase

10 minutes per session

2–3 sessions per week max

Purpose: acclimatise skin, avoid detox fatigue, check heat/light tolerance

Week 2

12–15 minutes per session

2–3 sessions per week

Most people feel mood, inflammation and sleep benefits around this point

Week 3

15–18 minutes per session

Slightly deeper effect on inflammation, skin clarity, muscle recovery

Week 4+ (Maintenance)
20 minutes max
1–3 sessions per week depending on goals
No need to go higher — benefit plateaus and more time does not mean more results

No one should be on the bed longer than 20 minutes unless under a practitioner’s protocol. Red & near-infrared do not need long exposure to work. We always start clients gently at 10 minutes in the first week. This allows your body, skin and mitochondria to adjust safely. Over the following weeks, we increase to a maximum of 20 minutes depending on your goals.
